Does anyone know anyone who's making 1930 Ford roadster lowered upper windshield stanchions for a chopped windshield?

How much shorter are they then the stock 1930 deluxe stanchions which are 12 1/8 and the windshield is 13 1/2"?

  4. 30-31 Deluxe and 32 standard are roughly the same length. The only difference is the mirror stud, one is 5/16 and one 3/8 UNF, otherwise a little shape difference but dimensionally the same.

If you buy a set of 2"chopped 32 stanchions that should get you what you want and if you have a deluxe windscreen chop it 2"or if a standard windshield frame chop it 4" I don't know of anyone makes chopped A stanchions.

Whats the best way to tackle taking a standard 30 Roadster windshield setup and get a nice chopped and leaned back windshield as per pics below. Only roadster I have owned previously had a Duval. Thanks.

When using chopped32 upper stanchions on a 30 roadster will the windshield lean back more than stock?
The windshield of my 30 A is straight up and can't fold it back any further.

The best way to lean back the windshield is to grind on the lower stanchions if the car isn't painted. Otherwise you have to grind the stops off the bottom of the upper stanchions and reweld new stops. I leaned mine back about 10 degrees farther than stock. I also chopped them 2" and rewelded them so that the part the top goes on is pointing straight up. That lean back lowered the top of the windsheild another 1/2". The chopped 32 stanchions are at the same angle as the model a ones.

I use 32 chopped stanchions on mine too. The model A ones were over $200 and the 32 ones were $79. This was about 5 years ago.
