Technical Advice on buying a 292 inline six.

    Yes, they use the standard V8 mounts, but the passenger side mount is further forward on the frame....so you can't bolt a V8 into the truck the way you have it set up. Which is just fine! Looks like you did a great job installing the 292. Have fun!

    Thank you Sir, 5mm box section cut to suit welded by someone who can weld. The offset is not a problem at all. I will swap up to polyurethane mounts at some point just have stock factory at the moment. If you’re driving and enjoying it then that’s the fun the rest is just different recipes for the same thing.

    Hiya, I guess you could fit any engine into an engine bay this size if you’re determined enough
