Heavy wall tube cut to suit?

Is the floor flat/ parallel to the top of the frame, or have you got the same issue underneath? If so its easy to cut the waste tube to match.

On construction .. elevators, etc we called them "askew" washers. The large ones were cast iron. But I can't find anything under that name.

  9. The few that I've ever needed tended to be custom angles so I just ground them down by hand on a belt sander or such.
I really like the post #2 suggestion. Those are the cat-s***. :p
Though they could sometimes look a little weird if they're prominently in your face. But that's true of some of the other suggestions, too.

Square beveled washers are available in stainless steel also.

What industry uses those square beveled washers? Just need one and if I can't find locally, I might as well grind something to fit.

We used them on the inside of structural channel when bolting thru the flange.

  14. Yes find a place that sells dimensional washers and seek beveled or adjusting washers.

They are popular to land a late model small block chevy intake on pre 86 heads, a**** other things.

Check local steel building contractors. Alot of perlings are angled and have square wedge washers bolting them together.

I have two sizes, two of each.
The large one is 1&1/2" square with a 5/8" hole, tapers 3/8" to 1/8".
The small one is 1&1/4" square with a 3/8" hole, tapers 1/4" to 1/16".

Sigh. Why are we giving Atikovi solutions that just mask the problem?

He clearly has the wrong fastener. He needs one of these:

    professional bolt types.png

Once it has been installed in the hole, tighten it up until it snaps then back it off half a turn.

    Cheers,
    Harv

If you Google beveled washers all kinds pop up with all kinds of suppliers, I've ground some down with a belt sander but they are slippery little devils.

I find the little FAT book is “the right stuff” compared to the on-line look up.
