I got a 57 and would like to see a few pics of the and know what tpe of frame there on. ive got the complete body, bed and fenders. want to know if i should go with an s10 frame, fullsize 87 and down short frame, or a fullsize blazer frame.

if you do a look through the tech section you'll see Clark's writeup on the frame swap. it's for pre-55 trucks so it might be a little different but it would be a good starting point.

that cameo is sweet! We are working on a 56. My uncle has owned it for about 17 years. Its gonna be all original. (maybe just a little hopped up engine)

  8. i dont know if the s10 frame will work with the later 50s truck ive seen it on a early 50s and late 40s but nevr the late 50s ...you might want to just messure your frame and go to a junkyard and mesure the s10 frame ...and to let you also know that chevy never changed the actual fram for the s10 you can take a 2002 body and put it on a 81 frame so..i hope this helps you in your search...

The stance is just right for me. How did you drop it? I'm guessing monoleaf and a fliped rear...am I right?

This truck is soooo kick *** it hurts my eyes to look at it!

  22. Not sure yet...I only like one style of chop on the sport coupes and my friend's '52 already has it. We roll together a lot and might look like a couple of kooks...oh wait, we already do :D

A freind o'mine had a 58 that was sat on a 73-77 Monte Carlo frame. sat really good, p/s p/b and rode like a cadillac! note: some fabrication necessary.

its great to be apart of the hamb and get a response for what your looking for. If anyone has any more suggestions about the frame swap (s10 fullize blazer or 87 down shortbed frame) please let me know.

Thanks guys for the pics. post more if you have any.

  29. These trucks take '70-81 Camaro and Nova clips very well. Just a thought if you're not set on the S-10 frame.
