sorry about the double post on the Barris Flamer painting last week.
Did you guys(and gals) know that Street Rodder has discontinued their "Showcase" section of the magazine? First it was "Readers Art" now showcase. R.I.P.

Here's a house Ive been working on for the last couple of weeks. Its gonna be in Palm Springs. The 50's kidney shaped pool was already there, but its got a definite mid-century modern feel/case study house feel to it.

Here's a pic taken with my old camera.

Same colors. Same everything....just a different camera.

The difference is noticeable I think.

This is one hell of an art show.

    Cool stuff Unkl Ian!

    Here's another "Bad Guy" painting.

I'm obsessed with this dude right now. :D

This is also taken with my new camera. DAMN I'm in love.
I just went into my studio and snapped this. No special lights or nothing, just the room lighting.

The image is a bit dark and I'll retake it in the daylight, but I'm very very pleased with it.

  20. Great "Art Show" this week fellas!! Nice renderings, photo's, stripin' and airbrushing.

Here's just a few shots of the art that was at the "Voodoo Kings" show this past Saturday in Itasca, Il. Enjoy!

    Zombie,
Nice work. Love the wagons. Have you ever tried pastel pencil?
Here's a recent painting of a Hemi that was in a 54 Dodge and a not so recent painting of my dad's coupe he built back in the fifties. 35 Chevy, 32 grill, 56 Olds motor. Some real homebuilt stuff from back in the day.

Here is a Photoshop concept I have been holding out on for a while. It's an idea that came to me while I was in the Navy and a buddy of mine was a collector of these jeeps. We were in the SeaBees as Construction Mechanics. We worked on mostly construction equipment, a few HMMVs and a lot of 3/4 Blazers and LWB GM trucks. Aaaaanyway we never got to work on these old Jeeps. If I did I would build it like this.

I guess you know where Oxnard is then. I worked on the SeaBee base many years before moving out to Texas.
