  1. A few at home pics. Will probably leave on the trailer and swing by the car wash 1C28F0B0-38ED-4AAD-86A6-7B369392C578.jpeg 653A0966-C307-4902-BE8C-D08FC1148173.jpeg D299ED8B-AC13-4709-9C2E-18414802ABC6.jpeg F6C29643-181C-4193-BF5D-7B485CF95ABE.jpeg

    No chop class??

nice score. Those look pretty good with a mild dechrome, lowered a lot, and skirts.

  4. Not yet.
I’ll cruise it a while first

Congrats. Awesome find. And my vote is for the Hemi but then again I have a Hemi problem. Y block would be awesome as well. Good luck with it in whatever direction you go.

The picture of the Merc sitting on the trailer looks great as is. I would replace the tires with new ones and also the wheel covers. You found a good one! I'm sure you will have fun with it.:)

  9. Good looking car Anthony. It seems the easiest "get it running and driving" would be to use the flathead that is in the car now?

The Y-block would be a great choice and a nice upgrade in power that should be compatible with the rest of the car as-is.

  10. Nice.

And it seems like they ALL need rockers

I never knew any of these came with the later bellhousing, or does the car have a newer trans swapped in?

  14. Looks oe. From what I have read this would be a late 51.
I have another beater in the back yard. It was a freebie parts car I paid $50 for the tow. Still has the flatty. I’ll look at it

  15. Well, when I bought it, I never checked if the flatty would turn. I’ve never had one that would. I really never considered keeping it.
But….we put a socket on it and it turns freely. It came with a stock intake (2carb intake it had is gone) I’ve got a few 3 bolt carbs and one from a merc.
Thinking about getting an intake gasket and bolting it all back together.
    Might just fire up

nothin wrong with a 4 door merc ! cool

  17. I’ve got 4 fresh turned drums with it.
Looks like someone was working on the brakes. I guess that answers the question on what I’ll do for brakes.

some old school front coil spacers and lowering block.s
    Locate a drivers side skirt.

now to go thru my parts cars.

I vote for trying to get the Flathead running and see what kind of shape it is in! I like seeing the stock engine in a stock looking car, such as this one.

I believe that is a date code on your head, but I'm not very good with the earlier date codes such as yours. Let's see the right side, how bad is it?

Or something. No casting numbers or letters on either one

  29. You should know him, that's his car lol... cool man, I love it. I agree with Terry on the flathead, that car doesn't look like it's been used very much at all.
