That coupe is definitely an eye catcher, Love the color. As I have an A coupe, I would like to know how you made and attached the headliner, too. Keep up the Great work, Carp.

Do You toss the old coil type springs in the seats ? Then construct a plywood base and back and use foam to build up the seat base and shape? I’m asking because I just bought a 47 Mercury convertible that had been parked since 61 . The seat springs are rusted beyond use from years of rodent , raccoon poop and moisture. I’m just trying to figure out a direction to go .

Yup, the springs were swapped out for a piece of shaped foam on a cut plywood base

Thanks, 57. I'm assuming that the plywood is screwed to the cross braces and then the vinyl is attached and trimmed/stapled at the edges. Is this correct?

Roof overlay for my buddy Dave's 33 Ford. This is an old hot rod with a filled roof that had some bumps and bruises so I made this to clean the top up a bit. The metal panel is the middle of a roof skin from a modern car that had a nice crown in it that Dave had.

What kind of pleats do you usually use?

Try sewing up the roll. When sewing from side to side, wrinkles appear. You are very good at what you do.
