@Mikel50 I've got a shoe box full of old east coast little pages like Rodding &Re-Styling and others, and can't to with the guys on the H.A.M.B. to research this one

This guy comes here looking for history on a neat old New England hot rod body and look what happened.
He came on here because he thought there were alot of knowledgeable people who may be willing to help!!
Mike is a legit, cool dude who literally has gone out of his way to help me, and countless others here.
If you don't have anything nice to say then don't say it at all.
Treat people the way you want to be treated. Let the guy build his car the way he wants

Great find Mike!!! I feel like there may be another grudge match brewing for the Pinetree Jamboree...

If I get a chance I'll go through my Cool Cars Square Roll Bars book.

Shame Paul Howard left us so soon, I bet he might know something if it was out on the Cape.

Fuck it, I'll say it. This whole life is a slap-fuck ball bustin good time. We don't wear silly hats and flowered golf slacks, we don't raise a damn pinky to gulp a coffee or a PBR (Pabst Blue Ribbon for the unhip). The only thing off limits was wives and mothers, still is. "Slide over fuck stick, I'll give ya a hand." You slide over and dig in, don't call your guidance counselor. My buddy walks in, "What's up ya fat bastard?" "Why ya call me a bastard?" I never knew any other form of communication and camaraderie in this shit. I mean we spread "the gospel" to HOODLUMS worldwide. Fuck sensitivity. Fuck feelings. This is hot rods, hot rods are tough. So are we, at least we used to be, steeped in generations of hot rodders and street racers. You think those were soft crowds? I couldn't wait to get right in the thick of it street racing. 30, 50 guys, all shuckin and duckin and tossing out shit that might even show a legit Marine a thing or 3. Mad respect for Marines by the way, no I never was. I hope you get the point my fellow HAMB brethren and I hope the OP sees this and gets a smile out of it. Seldom did the banter ruin a relationship or crack the network. When I blew the motor in my racer, 1st greeting; "Hey, Jack, Dr Kevorkian! How are ya?" I needed that. When another one of "us" scattered his motor and needed a tow home me and my bud went and got a sympathy card from the drug store and mailed it to him. You love this shit or you don't, and I always thought the smack was one of the best elements. I dunno, maybe it's a warning...

haha,,,,,I think some folks are just snarky and like to cause tension. Iv read and re-read the comments, and yes....Ill keep my eyes open or a 7-8" channeled "highboy" .....seems like a jab.

I was around for the Old HAMB and I loved it! It was a different kind of "ribbing"
Killer cars were being chronicled while being built right here! Yea I know instagram came along but the HAMB was special, more intimate, a close knit group....than it changed.....you had the self proclaimed HAMB police, spelling police, punctuation police and so forth.

Amazing talent both young and old, pretty well known guys were regulars but slowly began to back away due to the stupid "know it all" attitudes, condescending replies and folks littering the board with non Hot Rod threads.

Every day threads were being closed and deleted by the mods.....that alone was a sign things changed.

    It really is too bad.

Lmao. I was thinking reading his post if the spelling and grammar police hit the hmab, they'd be working time and a half....

I've read some old hamb threads. I don't get the nostalgia personally, but to each his own....

Yes indeed. It was the same a Tedd Klinefelter.
I’m honored to own a car that was a once a project of his.
Unfortunately he was never able to build it. He was in the collection stage of his final build.
I am now the new caretaker of his 32 roadster.
1 of 2 he owned as of his passing.
The family is retaining possession (his daughter). His wife is I’ll in a nursing home at the moment suffering from cancer. Bless her heart. (Praying).
I enjoy Hotrods and appreciate their heritage. I appreciate the people and knowledge on the HAMB.
If you have any info on Tedd and his racing or hotrod history.
I would love to have some.
    please private message me.
I’m not in contact with his family, I purchased the pieces to his roadster from one of his best friends. Who is helping the family sell off his estate.

Thank you for the reply, this is part of the reason I reached out to the guys on here.
    Mike.

I always get a kick out of @theHIGHLANDER , its never boring content, super direct, usually raw and uncooked, but always brutally honest, with a bit of snark, and a dash of smack!
    I highly approve!

As a dyed in the wool, almost 70 year old, allegedly, intelligent, occasional smart-ass, and radical tye dyed hippie, I get a kick out of the dialog, that only the HAMB can provide!

Stick around @Mikel50 , there is more fun being generated here hourly, and congratulations on obtaining that 32 roadster.
    Cheers from Dennis !

Much appreciated sir. Thank you. I’ve got a few HAMB threads under my belt. I’ll keep the good ole boys in the loop on the 32.

    You misunderstood each other.

A generational thing, I've noticed those about age 40 ish & younger are thin skinned and far more easily offended than in a previous era when it was "sticks & stones..."
My car is channeled 3" No fenders, no hood, but I call it (maybe incorrectly) a Hi Boy, but what do I know?

  24. Sounds like it will be a cool project. I recently found out the guy who I thought originall built my Coupe, isn't the original builder. He said it was an East Coast channelled and unchopped Hotrod from years ago. Like 50's era. I have no interest in searching for info, cause the car has been changed so much. Just interesting to find that out. I think it's amazing how you can give details on a car you buy, put it out on the HAMB, and somebody always seems to find its history. Blows my mind. BTW...don't leave. We want to follow you progress.

Hello Mike, I subscribed to your channel a couple years ago.. I'll be following along as you journey through your projects there. Don't take these guys too serious. Although you want to respect them, sometimes you only get what you pay for. That car being painted so many times makes me wonder if the driver had patrolman issues and was trying to hide from them. I speak from experience.

We had a city cop that was so stupid , that he would have fallen for repainting a hotrod and coming back to town, same guy driving, same wheels, same everything and the same evening.!!!!!:D

I wasn’t even the guilty one. A guy a couple years older than me and a Camaro Z a year newer with same color raised hell. After 4 ridiculous tickets, the last being not stopping long enough at a stop sign, the sanding and paint happened. No more tickets. Same wheels, tires and trim details.

I know! I know! (hand up) there's a guy on the interwebs with a car that looks exactly like that! I saw him customise the paint by dragging the panels on the gravel and knocking them all over!;)

    Disclaimer: just kidding:D
On a serious note while it is hit or miss I've seen some cars identified with only the slimmest thread to go on...while others like the super exposed (famous painter) purple and silver 5W that I studied in car mags as a kid has now disappeared w/o a trace...BUT I have ONLY ever seen it happen on the HAMB
