I've said before I didn't join the Alliance for the tag or even the discount. I joined to support this forum. That said, make them out of whatever you want or in my case, not at all. I hope you @Ryan don't take it as disrespect since I know making the tags old school is important to you. I would however jump all over a HAMB topper if another production run happens.

I’d prefer to wait for the brass but I’m ok with any material. After mounting my very first tag on my firewall many years ago . The rest are just thrown in a drawer.
If brass prices become an issue please please use aluminum. I’m very proud of my Alliance membership

Aluminum is great. It's real hot rod material, as mentioned, being lighter and all.... :)

Have you ever thought about Alliance member window decals? I'd be cool with that too.

The window decal is a great idea. As for the material, aluminum, brass, copper, whatever it's all good.
Just not plastic!! :D Actually for sure make them out of aluminum and tell us it's all recycled Teslas!!! ba ha ha ha ha
    I hate Teslas

  22. I have been a member of the Hamb for 20 years now and a Alliance Member since it's inception in 2006, 17 years ago.

I also believe in doing my small part when it comes to helping supporting this site that has been instrumental in giving me the knowledge and the support to try things I would have not done in the past.

I am well aware that everyone doesn't have a spare 50 bucks, but for those that primarily use the classifieds to supplement their income they really should step up and help keep the doors open and the lights on.

Ryan, As far as the Alliance tag goes, any material you chose will be fine. HRP

I would have no problem with an aluminium tag.

How about an aluminum topper with a space to add a new year tag. Charge another $10 for the base topper with the space for the HAMB member name and space for a year tag. Plenty of money to be saved after you run through the cycle and only need to send a year tag and the price goes back to $50

Problem solved. A silent hamber in high places secured some brass. We are good.

    Hey @Ryan
There are always going to be snags, of the logistics to obtain material, such as the brass for the annual Alliance tags.
So cool that a silent source, surfaced and the brass tags can continue.

I for one, appreciate the continuation of the brass tags.

I am hoping that at some point in the future, there will be a lottery on the H.A.M.B., to get a chance to purchase one of those cool vintage "NOS" union tool boxes, that were involved with the late night, dangerous characters, exchange!

If I am ever, lucky enough to own one of those tool boxes, I may, possibly use the brass Alliance tag's to adorn the tool box with.

More than likely, the tags will be kept in the tool box, purely as a vintage art display.
    Hope springs eternal!

    Thanks from Dennis.
