Can a moderator or someone else tell me why after being a member of this forum for several years I am unable to post a reply to car for sale ads in the Hamb ?

It says "Insufficient Privileges to Reply". ?

    Thanks-
    Brian

@Brians53vicky , at the bottom of every ad in the cl***ifieds is the term, "Insufficient Privileges to Reply". It's not directed at you personally. I believe it is set up this way to avoid a drawn out discussion over the price and merits of the vehicle by those who would choose to involve themselves in what should be a private conversation between you and the seller. You can reply to the ad by sending a PM to the seller.

  5. Usually when, a for sale item is selected. Up pops the warning. The warning gives instructions on how to proceed. Simply simple. :)

It's been the "policy" forever.Ryan made it in recent years that you simply cannot technically respond on the forum to cl***ifieds. Keeps ads from being bumped back up by people constantly posting on it.

Do you see the giant stop signs at the top of the cl***ifieds section? It is all explained there. Nobody is able to reply, simply send the seller a message

Even long time members like yourself have forgot or possibly never read the cl***ifieds rules.

I often wondered could this banner be attached when the cl***ifieds opened, it may make the moderators job a little easier,. HRP

  10. Even if this banner is impossible within the parameters of the forum, this is not like rocket science! Read the rules & understand that you cannot respond to a cl***ified ad! Send them a P.M. if you have a question!

There is the problem, they don't take the time to read the rules! HRP
