Its not my cup of tea but I like to see people step out and build something they like too hell with every one else and their narrow opinions

I’m not even a slight custom guy, but really enjoy looking at the details that are done. So many great ideas to pick up on.

Does that chop ever work. Great profile. I like the Camaro bumper too. You really knocked yourself out on the build.

The 57 Ford's are an interesting car, to do a ton of things with. Imagination knows no boundaries!

I never thought headlights in a 57 Ford would ever look good. They looked like they got kicked in the balls and their eyes bugged out! But that tunneling treatment really works on them. Outstanding job!

that was a good description of the headlights, I also think they look terrible in the original.

Is the width of the eyebrow in the 57 fender the same as the 58 with quad headlights ? 1957 1958 ford .PNG

Would of been better to actually use the y-block instead of try and cover up your mistake.

He's in Finland. I can't fault him for sticking to what's easier to get and maintain.

No difference in simplicity to maintain between a y-block and a Windsor.

Except in terms of parts availability... you guys have lots of Y-blocks down under, Finland doesn't. If he could even find one in the first place it would be really expensive to get parts for it. Windsors are still supported by modern aftermarket, and vehicles that came with them from stock were sold in Finland.

Actually y-blocks are equally easy to maintain. You can you the same aftermarket carb and electric fuel pump on both. Also with minor modifications the same distributor. So fuel and ignition systems can be identical. Or both can use a aftermarket distributor (example pertronics). There is a strong aftermarket available for the y-block. Anything is available online.
