1958 Chevy Yeoman 2 door station wagon, one of about 17,000 built, and Yeoman was a one-year model only. I've owned this car since 1988, and have done most of the work to it myself, around the 1990 period. I had the 350 4 bolt main engine rebuilt by a very good local machine shop in Peru, IL., and the upholstery was done by a very good upholsterer from the 50/60's. I rebuilt the entire front end, brakes, front wheel bearings etc. The glass pack exhaust was done by a muffler shop. Everything on the car works except the clock. It has an after market radio/cassette/ speakers. The car originally came from OK and had very little rust through, mainly the front fenders. I replaced them with good used non rusted fenders. All the weatherstrips were replaced at that time. The three speed on the column was converted from a power glide automatic. The U-joints and carrier bearings were replaced. There is a petcock on the gas tank as I was having trouble getting a good sending unit and had to drain the tank a number of times. It now has a new sending unit with a hybrid float, and the car comes with another slightly new used unit with a brass float. The speedometer head was replaced a couple times with used units since I've owned it, so I don't remember the miles, but I haven't driven it over 10k since finishing it. I painted the car with acrylic enamel one stage, and the paint is showing its age when you look closely. All the exterior chrome was redone to street quality. I polished all the stainless trim. It has a mild Edelbrock cam (I don't remember the specs), intake painted orange and a brand new 1906 carb. It has double hump heads, the smaller valve set. The original 1406 bombed on me. I also just installed four new BFG T/A 225/70R14 tires on the like new chrome wheels. In August of 2019, I replaced the 2 speed wiper switch with an NOS switch. I added all the aluminum trim on the dash, and it has the stock style trim inserts. I installed a new master cylinder about four years ago, along with new wheel cylinders. One thing I forgot to mention is that I coated the inside of the gas tank with Eastwood coating when I first did the car. It seems to have held up well. I have been using only non-ethanol premium in it for the last few years. I have more pictures. Please feel free to ask any questions, and please, serious inquiries only. If you want to have someone come and inspect it, just call to set up an appointment. If you want it shipped, that will be all up to you, as I've never dealt with shipping a car. It is located in central Illinois near Lacon. It was recently appraised at $37,900.
