Walked out to get my mail this morning and was surprised to receive the new issue#17 Hop UP Magazine. I've just glanced thru it and it looks like a good one. Kudos to the Hop Up crew for their efforts.
I recently subscribed, and yesterday received a large Hop Up annual. It's an amazing work of art. Is that the same as Issue #17? Do they only put out one per year? I'm confused. I would ask them but they don't answer emails.
Dan Hay: Yes what you have is Issue #17. They only publish the big book once a year and occasionally what they call a special which is the size of the old little R&C magazines.
Thanks for letting me know. I thought the little books were the regular issues and this large one was a special. I had it b*** ackwards.

Thankful we have hop up, as we have watched others crash and burn like Murphos showcase mag is currently doing. Now I have something to look forward to coming in the mail... Come on Hop up...
I am sorry to hear that Murphos showcase magazine is going away. I subscribed to it as it usually had some interesting cars / articles. A recent issue covered a car show in Connecticut where I used to live. It was nice to see people that I knew in a national magazine,
To subscribe go to hopupmagazine.com scroll down to Stop The Press's and click on speed shop. It will tell you how to subscribe. I have used automatic billing for several years. For my payment I use Pay Pal but you can also use a credit card. Each time an annual or special is getting close to being shipped they will debit you choice of payment. It has worked good so far with no problems.
Yep…and I wish all printed periodicals would feature a little more in depth editorial coverage. The pictures are nice, and very well done, but being able to read about the subject in a degree of detail and depth really would make it special. HopUp has generally done a good job with editorial depth…I’m hoping it will continue. (PS…the only magazine I ever bought “for the articles” was *******.)
You should get the new annual #17 if You subscribe now. There may be a spot for notes if you want to add that to make sure.
I think if you send them a request along with subscribing they will send you #17. They will also have a booth at the GNRS.
WOW...just wow! Mine came in the mail today. I'm old enough that I don't usually gush over a book, but the new HopUp Annual that landed on my doorstep is outstanding. Great in every respect...words, pictures, layout all are first rate. Kudos to the HopUp team!
Wondering if any Canadian subscribers who have signed up for automatic billing have been billed & received #17 yet .
