Yea, that is some really cool artwork and I can also see a lot of Robert Williams in it.

If anyone wants a copy, a google search found a few for sale.

Is Lee back in CA? I thought he was back in Iowa, but I think he moved again.

    great artwork,
I just ordered a copy through AbeBooks, I fully expect it to have library stamping on it too.

So Lee paid forward his crime of stealing the book?
    Hoodlums United ha, ha:D
    Those illustrations are superb.
Any of them would look excellent matted and framed.

I see the drawings and it makes me think of two things. The song "He's going the Distance"(not sure if that's the name). And the song by Ah Ha, "Take On Me". Drawings like that are amazing. Like early race fliers and programs. Now I have to look for that book too, Ryan.

I thought I wrote about this book like a decade ago... Turns out it was only about four years ago... Anyway, here's a little more about Carlo:

You mentioned it, now you can't miss it so you'll just have to believe me that I'd have seen Wms too even if you hadn't.

Those drawings also remind me of the "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" opening sequence, a great montage of pre-WW 1 GP racing on open roads.

That's why Lee keeps moving, stayin' one step ahead of the law.

  30. That makes Ryan an accessory after the fact! "Joe Friday.... calling Joe Friday"...
I think Ryan oughta get in touch with Perry Mason or Ben Matlock. Just sayin'...
