Any idea where the flip top ones with "GAS" engraved on them are forsale? I have seen them on Epay and I have heard that you can buy them for ten bucks or so from a website and I lost the link in a computer crash a year ago.

Those are also boat items. I don't have a source, but boating supply houses will be the place to look.

We have a local parts house (JC Whitney style :) ) that carries a lot of VW Baja and sandrail stuff. Those fillers usually have "GAS" on the top. Found this after a quick search, but I have seen them cheaper. Maybe the next time you get groceries, thumb through a Hot VWs magazine, and take note of some of the large aftermarket parts suppliers, then take a look at their websites. http://www.dansperformanceparts.com/buggy/baja/buggybaja3.htm .

if you check around on Egay, you can find the ones with GAS on the lid for 20 bucks shipped. I just bought one last week, brand new, in box, 20 bucks shipped to my door in about 4 days.
