seriously this thing is NOT ugly.the more and more i look at it the more i like it...now MGs on the other hand..! THOSE are ugly!! there's one in the parking lot over from me and i see it every day and it's HIDEOUS!

I had a 4dr 61 Plymouth, is was Ugly with a capital "U" I dug the hubcaps though, shoulda kept 'em.

 

OK, now your hittin' below the belt- I own a '61 Fury Moredoor and a '62
(Ugly) Dart. Yeah, my yuppie neighbors look at me like i'm from Mars, but
I think their Jap egomobiles look like mandril ***es.
As for your '61 Dodge, I'd change the Mopar tapered axel rear end out
for an 8 or 9" ford with Bendex brakes. I don't wanna think about the
kinda money I've tied up in brakes for my'61 Fury. Also toss the single
resevoir master cylinder for a double. I nearly stacked up my Dart one
day when the new single master took a big ****, good thing the Darts
went to Bendex brakes in'62. Just about anything works, colour wise,
for this era big Mopar.

I think this frontclip on a Dodge would be cool, reallt different design in a good way!

 

slam it, belflowers and a red metal flake hood...

 

Put some wings on it, scoops on sides and corvette split bumpers ,twisted bar grille,candy red and heavy flake top,white interior....damn...use your imagination...or use mine!

 

i would just put some old cool rims on it and drive it!!!!!

A friend of mine (per.hakansson) has a 61 Dodge with a 62 Chrysler frontend and some heavy rearend treatment and all is made by Ljungen. It has a 440 under the hood.

 

That thing is so ugly its cute. Kinda like my Boxer.

i drove almost 300 miles pulling a trailer to get a black one,when i got there it was way worse off than the green one in the field,it seems the fellow i was talking to was not quite exact on his description and the pics weren't that good.I think they make a cool ugly hotrod.

1961 dodge Has got the ugliest frontend by all mopars ever! But change that and it looks much better. But being a moparnut isnt easy cause they are the citroens of usa! Oddball solutions made up in the fifties and sticking to them al the way til mid sixties they did get kind of normal in -66 but they werent cured until mid seventies
