Can anyone suggest a way to remove the rear drum without an old school pulley?

My mechanic has tried store bought pulleys and heat, with no success.

Or if anyone has one to sell please message me.

    Thank you

    You're correct.

  4. You need a Dog Bone Hub Puller, not a "pulley"

Borrow one from a friend. There’s lots of people in Los Angeles so you must have a friend into old Fords there.

The best pullers at the KR Wilson ones, or the reproductions of them.

I'm in Redlands and I've got a Vintage Precision puller that you can borrow if you can't find one closer. PM me if interested.

There should be a groove on the extended hub. That groove takes a C shaped puller with two ears to attach a coventional two jaw hub puller to. I have one in my tool box, which I used often on 36-39 drum/hub removals. Mine is an old Proto and they are out there. Might be a wise investment if you plan on keeping the car.
