Marty...TEN years??? Every post of yours is like I'm standing right there, always concise, and accurate.
Spalding roadster was just amazing, I never would have thought that so many ops were done on the original...but your build had to be done from scratch.
Your '40 pickup body is very 'Marty'!
    Don't stop.

Thanks Mike, you and I grew up when most every gas station and garage had a shop truck with side boards, and a push board for duty at the races. I can't wait to show off my Mitch Kim lettered ones, next Spring ! IMG_0502.JPG

Marty, could you elaborate on the paint on the pickup.
By the way, and I've said this many times "the world needs more sideboard and stake bed trucks".
The things that I like in my old age scare me.

Doug, when I bought the basis for the truck from a friend and fellow Hotrodder Dave Wilfert, he had the cab and doors pretty well finished. As for the rest, Brent McMullin did all of the rest, including setting all the gaps. Pat Ganahl looked at the truck and said, "you don't get gaps that good on a 40 Ford". I have tried to find the right painter for over a year now, and finally got set up with Duane Olofson. Duane is an energetic young guy that has painted several cars for Lonnie Gilbertson, including the Candy Pagan Gold 55 G***er. He is using Glasurit 22 line Washington Blue, in single stage. He is so good, it will not need any cutting and buffing. I am tickled ! IMG_2937.JPG

Thanks Gary, Gordon and others. Here we are going on 12 years on this sight, and still at it, albeit a slower pace. Somehow, I thought that when I had the shop for pretty much my stuff, I would get more accomplished than I have lately. Coming up on 60 years doing this stuff, and thankful for the family members and buddies I have had to build with, race, and learn from.
