In search of a new fuel tank sending unit for the 41, I came across an online store called ecl***ics. They have what I want, but the website doesn't seem real great. Just wanted to know if any of you have tried them? I don't want to get scammed, or wait for weeks for parts. Lemme know! Thanks.
They do have a fishy website. No address or phone number anywhere. They have an Amazon store though. See if you can find what you want there. If you have a problem, Amazon usually takes care of it and goes back on the vendor. It has been said that orders from an Ebay store or Amazon get better service because they don't want to loose their account. People from vendor's own websites go to the back of the line. Good luck, Mike
This is the first fuel sending unit I've seen for the original dash gauge. https://ecl***ics.com/ecl***ics-193...inless-steel-fuel-sending-unit-for-oe-gauges/
They offer one for an aftermarket gauge also, which is what I'm after. I didn't see one on Dennis carpenter or Elgin's
I'm not so sure about the Amazon connection now. If you Google E Cl***ics you get an Amazon hit with pages of sending units and similar stuff to the website. I figured it was their store. Sold by Auto Parts Haus who has 8,000 items on Amazon. No mention of E Cl***ics on any of the stuff. Now I'm confused Mike
I've bought 2 sending units from ecl***ics for C3 corvettes. No problems at all. But I may have just gotten lucky
Further investigation indicates this sender will not work with early Ford original dashboard gas gauge.
Well I took a chance and ordered it from them today. I almost got the universal sender with adapter plate from speedway but it was much more in shipping and I'd rather have the correct one in there. I paid the extra $2 for USPS priority shipping. We shall see how it goes.
I actually ordered the one for an aftermarket gauge, since I don't know if the original one even works at all. I got all matching sunpro gauges so the fuel gauge will be in the lineup with oil, temp, and volts. Hang under the dash.
There are adapter boxes available that are adjustable to the various resistances and will provide a proper signal to your gauge. The last one I got came from E-Bay.
