I'm watching an old Hot Rod movie about a gang of car strippers. Does anyone recognize the T Bucket? Looks like a Nailhead with 6 deuces.
I think the first time I saw this was around 1979-80 on the afternoon dialing for dollars movie. Had no clue where the T came from but thought it was wicked cool. Love old B movies with old cars crowding the scenery! The same kid in this flick is in "Eegah!", another second bill flick where he drives a "dune buggy" built from what looks like an A.
I saw it recently, the same kid (Arch Hall) is in the movie Wild Guitar. He later became an airline pilot for a living. His dad played the evil promoter in the film. Also starring was Robert Crumb, the artist.
In the movie the car has lanterns on each side of the cowl. This would have ben after Bill Roland bought it from Ivo. Roland added the lanterns and painted it black or dark blue? Ivo later stated that he hated the lanterns as he thought they looked gaudy. In my opinion the car, as Ivo built it, is the nicest T- bucket ever built.
