Good morning, I am cleaning out a shop I purchased and found this old hone-o-drive overdrive unit in it. I am wondering what this might be worth. Seems like the info is kind of hard to come by on these, but most of what I have learned about them has been on this forum so figured it would be a good place to ask! Any info is appreciated. Thanks!
I think I paid a few hundred for mine in 1988....used it for a while, broke it around 2000.....it went for s****, after that. Like you said, there's not a lot of info. If you put it on ebay for $50 starting price auction, you'll find out what it's worth.
Price depends on condition. There's a planetary gear inside that's a weak point and is where most fail. Looks like yours was installed and removed, so it's a possibility it's already broke. I have a couple for parts, but no spare planetary gears.
