I need help to Identify what I have. I'm changing a friends 29 Ford pickup over from a 40 gear box to a vega rack. So I need the double hole steering arm on the right side. I ordered 37 ford ones, but when I start pulling her drums to get old arms off I notice GM 5 on the arm #3709276. Drums are 4 1/2 bolt pattern. Looks like it is a 4 inch dropped axle. I'm wondering what spindles and drums are on this thing. Anybody have any Ideas for me?

How about a picture; maybe you have Chevy spindles on a modified Ford axle or is it an aftermarket axle. Used to buy Super Bell tube axles set up for '49-'54 Chevy spindles.

I just got the Axle out. I have a set of 50 Chevy spindles, guess I need to go find them and chek that out. I can see the bearing are shot. spindles are moving up and down. We are going to replace the axle , but would like to keep drum brakes , shoes and all looks fairly new.
