Home now with a better connection. This is how the car was when we had it. The grille was off, otherwise the same. The bodywork was all in decent shape. I don't recall any rust, may have had some in the floors. It had a lot of parts bought to restore it, some was typical tri 5 stuff, some custom stuff. The Packard taillights were in the trunk, one may have been missing. The body guy did some grinding on the side, and painted some weird eyeballs on the hood in primer. There are 3 pics of it like that on the net I cannot find anymore, which is how I last saw it, after it went to R and M in Stockton. There was talk of going back to stock bodywork. I was not very involved at the end with these guys. Ironically, I never heard it called the Jack Snyder car, all the talk was about Joe Wilhelm and Rod Powell working on it. I didn't even Identify it's history until years later. It goes with the custom 59 El Camino I have posted previously. When it's provenance could not be proven it was given to me in payment of a debt. I was originally hired to haul it to a scrapyard.

Jack Snyder is the guy that owned it when Wilhelm customized it. There are pictures and a folder on the car on Rik Hovings custom photo archive. in the comments section there is a post from a couple of yers ago with a guy from Arizona claiming to own it and wanting to sell... his comment is under the first photo which looks like the car had been ground to bare metal and is on a trlr... Man I would love to have that car, but there is no room at the inn....

At least it is still out there as Jack Snyder built it, and not just another 56.

That is not the real car but the very good clone that was built in the late eighties. That sticker was supposed to kinda replicate the Cushenbery crest that was on the real car
