    I've seen Speedway's:

    I've seen Mooneyes' tanks:

Who else make's em? Is that it?

I personally like the Mooneyes one the best, but the price is CRAZY!! Just wondering if there are any other options. This will be in a high profile location so it's important that quality shows. Will pay the price if I have to.

MAS Racing makes them as well tho they look a LOT like the Speedway ones but the price is fantastic in my opinion.

MAS Racing Products. Pretty reasonable. Speedway has a poly round tank now.

  5. I was gonna say the same thing.

Ya might look for a tractor pull magazine also.

The poly tanks that Speedway sells are junk. Complete shit. They leak like crazy at the fitting at the bottom. Think about it, plastic threads...metal fuel fitting. There's no amount of sealant that's gonna cure that. Spring for the aluminum one. Or, save yourself some money from speeday and buy some plastic gas cans and screw your own fittings into them, cause that's about how good the poly tanks are.

  7. Thereare usually some on Ebay with a buy it now price. They sell different sizes.

No plastic will find it's way to this car if I can help it. Must be spun aluminum. I'll check out some VW rags and see if there is anything in there.

Can anyone else think of anyone else making these?

Latest Rage is the VW aftermarket outfit that makes them. They sell in most of the multi page ads in Hot VWs.

About a 120 dollars + shipping in various sizes

    Hi.

Try Kinsler, they have had complete tanks or halves.

I bought mine from an outfit in AZ that I found on Craigslist. It's a 10gal long tank, but they make all sizes. Any 'dunebuggy/sandrail' shop can get you going in the right direction.

Wow... this is an OLLLD thread! Forgot I ever posted it!

I ended up going with a T style tank instead of a spun aluminum.

  22. FORGET M.A.S. they went belly up just as I sent them money for two of their Aluminum tanks. Never did see the money or the tanks.
Now, I would spend my money with Speedway. I've had great service and products from Speedway.

I think MAS has opened under a new name on 94 in Oakdale. I built one out of a 3 gal Hamms beer keg for a gasser look on my 51 Willys wagon. It has Moon brackets & pressure gauge ,-12 braided fuel line, and the bottom of a chrome Holley fuel pump to connect 3/8 fuel lines. I will try to post pictures if I can get through the 2 feet of new snow to the shop. We removed all the plastic fittings,TIG welded a plug on the side , drilled & taped allen bolts to mount the fuel pump base on the other side and powder coated it "chrome"

30 years back I saw one in the trunk of a Chevy racecar gasser. It had a sticker on it that indicated it was originally a hydraulic reservoir tank. I never found one at any Army-Navy Surplus stores but might be worth looking in those places.
