Technical Hot rod axle stainless inserts

Looking for info on what was used to install these inserts into axle. Some style of stainless grommet or weld in bung? 1 inch O.D. Any help/advice appreciated!

 

Looks like they are just slices of tubing pressed in and polished.

 

Look to me to be an eyelet, pressed in or perhaps just glued. I'd be looking in the sailing chandlers (because they're large and possibly stainless). Or they could be those hideous ear piercing stretchers?

Yeah I thought that at first but flare seems too perfect. Like this was some sort of pre-made grommet. I reached out to car club on plaque to see if they know owner.

 

Funny you mention ear plugs! I bought a set already that might be what I end up using

 

Tarpaulin eyelets.

 

3/8” is the largest tarp eyelet I can find. I.D. is bigger than that.

Those might work but o.d. too large. Needs to be 1 inch.
