1952-59 Ford Anyone done a C notch on a 55-56?

I am wondering what you used to do the C notch, since it is a fully enclosed frame? I doubt the universal kits would be wide enough. I was thinking of buying a drop off piece of 8" pipe and fabbing my own.

Thoughts?

 

The pipe would be your best bet. I've bought a couple kits and honestly I could make one alot better quality.

 

Kinda what I was afraid of. Guess I need to measure the width of the frame.

That’s way more aggressive than I need. Just adding 3” would probably be enough for a static drop. That looks like a ton of work to a lazy guy….
