You got Porky's, the Chilli King, The Hardee's on the NW side, Daytona's does something once in awhile. If your down for a bad ass crusie. Check out Cruise to the Woods. It goes down in October Iowa's best car show / Cruise. IMO
BTW - Hardees is on the South Side of DesMoines on Army Post Road and cruizing is on Friday Nights. There is no Hardees on the NW side of Desmoines any longer as far as I know. Porky's cruizing is on Wednesday And Saturday Nights for cars and Thursday night for bikes. I don't even know if George the Chili King even has advertised cruiz nights anymore - if so maybe 10-12 cars max. Porky's will have 40-50 cars but a LOT of new SHIT parks now like 2005-6 Corvettes and Mustangs so sometimes it is no fun and boring as hell, Especially when it is packed and old cars drive by or are turned away because no room. Sucks. IMHO Cob
Yeah I hit up Porky's last night (incase you were there I was the young kid in the leather jacket and blue jeans) and it was a bunch of new stuff or rich man rollers, maybe two/three oldskool rides. Bummed me out. m.
I'm down in the souithwest corner of the state, just a little Friday nite stuf here. Of course Saturday is always TUB&TAIL nite, come on down ,we got a whole bunch of new sheep, you can have your choice!!
Porky's isn't what it used to be. Too much new stuff. I don't know of anything around here now. Last time I was at Hardees, it was mostly muscle cars.
*sigh* what's this state coming to? By the way, does anyone in the Des Moines area want an extra pair of hands around the garage? I'm looking for experience elsewhere since I don't have a place to build my own. m.
HEY! Who's going to be at Porky's on Wednesday night? I would really like to meet some local hambers. Anyone going to be there? m.
There was a pretty extensive post about Iowa Hambers a month or so ago. Things wrap up pretty fast after school starts here. Pattonsburg, MO October 8th aint bad. I'm shooting for Quincy, Ill October 13-14-15. The whole show is pretty cool, free admission and not a bunch of trophy chasers. You new to Iowa?
