Greetings and salutations...or as we say down here in Tennessee: "Hay, Ya'll." Can't get too long winded from here, but just wanted to say 'howdy'. I go by 'Thunder Road' 'cause my main ride is a 1950 Ford Crestliner with a 396 BB Chevy motor. Yea, I know it's a 'violation' but it sure fits in real nice. Looks like it was meant to go there..and it'll scoot, too. It was my high school car and has been thru more lives than ANY cat. One of my other rides is a 1934 Ford 5-window coupe. Still running a '36 flathead with 2 dueces and ready for my new Eddie Meyer finned heads- and the stock 3-spd in the floor. The car's been in the family since 1958. One of the best things about it- I use any old rag to wash it and I don't care if someone sits on the fender...and I use a black 7-ball for my shifter knob. The last one I'm rollin in stuck is a bone stock 1955 Ford Fairlane Town Sedan. This car was owned by a little old ladie's dad in Mt. Airy, NC. When her dad died she stuck the car in a garage and it sat for 10 years. A local bodyshop talked her into letting them repaint it and get it ready to sell...and I bought it. Right now, the motor is out of it, awaiting a rebuild. It had 56K miles on it when I got it and I got 4k miles out of it before the compression got too low to run it. That's my story and I'm stickin to it... be seein ya'll around.
