Art & Inspiration Official’47 - ‘54 Chevy and GMC truck pictures thread

  1. Might as well post mine up too. It's a 50 3100 I bought in July 2014. Was completely stock when I got it, with the exception of a Cherry Bomb and side exit exhaust, and 60s C-10 wheels. I've since lowered it 3" with a Sid's drop axle and homemade blocks. It still has the 216, but the 3 on the tree, torque tube, and 4.11 were replaced by a T-5 and Task Force truck 3.90 center section in the 50 axle housing with solid perches welded on. Has CPP discs up front. I've added some accessories and a heater, swapped seats and steering wheel, fixed a bunch of little stuff. It doesn't get driven as much as I'd like, so I'm trying to get it out more. I have a 57 truck 235 that's been rebuilt and almost ready to go in, sitting on a stand for a few years now. A year of being too busy had that back burnered initially, and then I was getting a kick out of being able to keep up on the highway with the 216. Kinda getting the bug again to go ahead and do the swap. I don't know if it'll ever get painted- I think nice paint would stress me out too much.

This one is a favorite of mine. I think it was built by Cole Foster back in the 1990's. I remember seeing it person and my mind was blown how cool it was.

  8. Yeah Cole built that. The coolest part is the headliner. He told what a bitch it was but the entire inside top of the cab is ANOTHER ROOF that he sectioned and fit in to look factory
