ChiTown, did you manage to snag a free ice cream cone at the Homewood DQ?

Yepper, you must have missed it. First day of the season, free single scoop!!! I think it was last Monday, March 20th. We live pretty close to each other, so may see you around.

I don't recognize your car. What shows/cruise nights do you hit?

Don't go to many parking lot "shows". When Glenwood Oaks has a cruise night, I would sometimes take a grandkid and look at the cars. All the kids ar grown now. I think the last time I saw Jake, was about 7 years ago at the open house (I went because Gene Winfield was there) at Eastwood. Like going to Quincy, Il for the Tin Dusters, but that's '48 and earlier.

Before I forget, you got a nice ride there. Good score sir. Your little buddy seems quite content in the backseat!

    Thanks!
I've been in Homewood for about 7 years now. Just sold my F100 to get Jake's Merc. We have a few other toys you may have seen as well ... PXL_20230225_221442880.jpg received_2860428034266878~2.jpeg received_684489246172633.jpeg

I believe I saw the roadster (green?) parked on Dixie Highway on the N.E. corner? Been a while back.

Seen your car a few times now at your
Roamin’ Chariots show you put on in Blue Island for the Blue Cap School.
Met Jake years ago when he was a regular at the Frosted Mug in Alsip, Merc stood out then and continued as it was an occasional visitor at the Steak&Shake cruise nite before its end.
Your car as I say “has the look” belated congratulations and enjoy!
