    On my 26 model t the owner gave me a rear bumper. I think it’s off a newer Chevrolet. I’ve been thinking of cutting this bumper into three pieces. The middle I’m torn between lights or a bumper. If I just have bumperetts it will look like 70 Camaro. Any thoughts?
    Thanks
    Jerry

    My thought is it is completely out of place.

    I think selling the bumper to someone that needs it is the thing to do.

    Ditch the bumper. It won't help you if Karen plows into you with a Suburban & hot rods look better without them. Make up some nerf bars, if you're really worried about low speed bumps.

  8. Yet another no. Looks like good swap meet material though.Someone with a early 50"s build would like that.

    You made a good choice.
    A 2X4 would look better than that bumper.

    @26 T Ford RPU
    Good idea on the ‘bumper’, on my 32 hi boy I made a real heavy spreader bar for the same reason.

    I am curious about those tail light brackets, are they home made or adapted from something else ?
    Do they flare out like a ‘32 bracket ? Any pics of the rear of them ?

    I'vee got a 3 inch diameter piece of stainless pipe for a rear bumper on my 48 that is a larger and somewhat similar version of what 27 Ford rpu has.
    My buddy built for me when I was going on a road trip to Bonneville in 1998. Simple and efective as it does have a few dings.

    Smaller would work better on the A.

    only if you have a really cool bumper sticker . You don't have a sticker cool enough to make that look good .

    A couple nerfs maybe .

    Why not use a Model A front bumper on the rear? For the love of God, don't use that plastic thing:eek:[IMG]
