This past Friday my brother and I had the honor of attending cl*** at a local high school. We were asked to come out with our cars and talk to the kids in Auto shop about what we love to do. We were more than happy to take a friday off and talk shop. The weather started out a little wet but by 8am things were starting to dry out and once the sun came out it was a beautiful day for a cruise. (over the weekends shows we put on a few hundred miles each) Talking with the kids was great, It turned out they had a 45 Ford that they were going to restore but once they saw Lauries truck their minds soon changed. Here's a shot of one of the cl***es checking out the trucks. Looks like it needs a chop! We brought out some of our fav mags, this girl was diggin the new Rolls n Pleats (just doing our part to keep the kids off the tuner stuff) You can tell some kids are just there for the credit, the others are really into cars and want to learn. I'm really looking forward to seeing how they make out. We have been invited back at a later date to check up on the progress and see what they make of it. I sure wish we had a shop cl*** like this when I was in school! G.

Hell I wish someone would have done that for my shop cl*** then maybe I would have wanted to go to school that day. The most we ever got to see was the teacher flirting with the girls, sorry I meant "showing them" were their spare tire was at in their daddys honda! I agree with blktopbandit if you got to one kid just one in that crowd then it was worth your time.
AWESOME!!!! nice way for these kids to get into cars, hopefully HOT RODS!!! my shop teacher was a cool cat, him and his brothers Drag Race so their was always something cool to do in the shop. My father was in his first shop cl*** ever, pretty cool to have the same teacher my dad did 20 some years later and get to teach me the same stuff my dad learned. my dad said they used to go to his teachers house and work on their cars and lay rubber all the way down the streets, then he'd bring out his dragster and OPEN IT UP!!!! =) the teachers still their and my sister who just graduated had him as well. nice job dude!!! you'll make an impact to the kids who are their for the right reasons.
Wow thats awsome guys, showing those kids inspiration like that should really get them going. Thats to cool, working on Hotrods in cl***..thats exactly wheres its at, nothing cooler
great work on your part and the teachers part. Would have been cool if someone did that when I was back in shop, maybe I would have skipped that akward minitruck phase lol.
