i miss read that 711 and 635 are the same car 712 was bill shireys and the change seems to coincide with Bill Shirey's departure from the commandos

 

I guess I always thought it changed with the hemi conversion. I've never seen the #712 with single headlights, etc.

 

Ramchargers 65 2% car. Don't know all the facts, maybe others can chime in. The dead giveaway is the sedan doors with no vent windows on a hardtop. Some had bubble windshields, supposedly numerous different lightweight parts and the more pronounced hoodscoop of the later 10/15 awb cars. These cars came in late 64 and after beeline 65 they were gone. I've heard they were converted to 10/15 awb cars. Idk. Check out the beeline 65 vid and you'll see the 2% cars and the factory awb cars at the same event during this transition.

The car that got me addicted. If u havent seen my thread on the jayhawker my dad bought the car in the mid 80s and it sat in my garage for a significant part of my childhood. I used to play in it all the time and make vroomvroom noises

 

Running as a blown XS and right after they cut it up in 66. Note the "it's a wedge" on the front fender. Far as I know it never ran a late model hemi. Guys are full of shit. May or may not have ran an early hemi with the blower.

 

1st pic is as found in the 70s or early 80s. 2nd is the day my dad brought it home. Last is the restored version. Too bad they fuct up that front wheel location. Shd be moved about 6" forward. You can see in the old pics the front wheels were where they shd be. Car always looked goofy to me.
