Did you get LEAD poisoning at L.A.D.? Sorry, since you are better I thought we might as well laugh. Lol!
Can't wait! Thrashing on both Mercs trying to have one to take down. On the 58 the trans is at the shop, re-wiring has been started this week, and the manifold bolts are soaking so we can hopefully get the broken manifold off and replaced. On the 49 the heads and intake are off the flathead looking for the culprit for a noise. If neither of those get done.... We'll take the trusty Magnum.
@VF-1 Dewey is one of the greatest "small towns". It's directly north of Bartlesville. (which is north of Tulsa )
It sounds outstanding! I truly prefer the traditional rod runs! Thank you for the info! Best Regards, Ed
My grandson VonKeegan and I will be camping at Washington Cove campgrounds north of Dewey. 6 hour drive from Corsicana Tx .
I lived in the DFW area (Grapevine, TX) in the early 1990s. I remember the “Corsicana Kid” (nice old Coupe)! I wonder if the Kid, and that old hot rod is still on the road?
@straykatkustoms Mick, I'll be there this year as usual. I have my reservations in Bartlesville (where I've stayed for several years) but a friend told me today he wants to go. What is the host hotel this year? I'll let him know.
@atch This is from the website: The Host Hotel is the Fairfield Inn (918)331-2100 it’s a great place to stay and a purrfect host hotel.
Sorry guys I ran away for a dew days. Thank you Sancho for answering the questions. For the third year in a roll we were trying to go back to Prairie Song in Dewey. It is a real kool 1800's village in Dewey, last two years rain got in the way and this year the owner is having some health issues. We will not be able to run out there this year. sorry... This year we are running over to Pawhuska to visit the Mercantile. The Pioneer Woman Mercantile is a destination restaurant, bakery and store in Pawhuska, Oklahoma! Ree and Ladd Drummond spent years renovating the hundred-year-old Osage Mercantile building on Main Street so that they could welcome visitors from near and far and give them a slice of small town hospitality. "The Merc" has gorgeous goods, comfort foods, fresh-made pastries, delicious coffee, and plenty of fun to dish out. Come stop in, stay awhile, and leave with a smile! Ree, Ladd, and the whole crew at The Merc would love to see you in Pawhuska. It is a fun drive over and great places to eat and shop. Check out the link for more info.... https://www.themercantile.com/ We don't have a set time to leave because some want to go over for breakfast some for Lunch. It is worth the drive.
We have a very kool band line up this year. The Hydramatics will start the show at 11am Saturday. The band hasn’t played in Dewey before. You have to check them out. You will love their Chicago style blues.
