Happy Friday to all of you.
This is a little drawing I did about 40 years ago, my poor attempt at a
38 "WHITE" fuel oil delivery tanker truck.
Thanks to all that contribute to the "FAS"
    Thanks from Dennis.

A chocolate egg disguised as a 671 supercharged SBC motor. The wagon was ¾ sized and usable for other things…

    Hello,

With the April “Easter” season around and the colleges/high school students are getting out for spring break, it was time to reflect on how a short “legal” 5 day vacation turned into a 11 day expanded vacation for us. As teens, leaving Thursday night at midnight allowed us to arrive in our secret (back then) locations around 4 to 5 a.m. It was just in time to check out the waves and then take a well deserved nap prior to paddling out at the crack of dawn.

Baja, Mexico is not a city, but a whole coastline of various surf spots from the border down to unexplored areas back then. These days, almost every spot has been surfed and has a web cam or surf report for travelers. So much for private surfing in unchartered waters…

But, for us, no more crowded Huntington Beach Pier surfing crowds was a welcoming adventure. Despite the long drive, we all knew the resulting vacation days would be spent surfing, napping, eating great food by the ocean and just relaxing in a relatively unchartered area, ripe for discovery. "No more teachers, no more books...etc." we all know the rest...

The chocolate we bought down there was sweet, but nothing like the ones we brought with us for those tasty snacks sitting around the fire after dinner. Chocolate, Cokes and beer for the older guys, what a combo… Surfing, hot rod surf adventures, discoveries and the general atmosphere of being away from our restrictive teenage lives, made it all worth the extra effort to be the firsts ones to discover our surf spots... And no limit as to having a curfew or to get out of the water to go home for school classes the next day...YRMV

I don't do much anymore,@ 80 now ,age shakes makes me mad, when one of my lines turns into a zig zag. But do get away with some times. This was one of my Wild Car "T"shirts ,just a few years back.

    Y'ALL DON'T KNOW JACK... o_O

    Introducing... "Mr. Jack Rabbit"... :)
    c2.jpg
Any similarity between him and yours truly is purely coincidental. You can't see from this angle, but on one radio knob he hangs one of those little tree fragrance doodads… “Ode De Burrow”. On the other knob he hangs his lucky people’s foot… which happens to be dyed fluorescent lime green… size 8... If you wished that I had not posted this, I don’t want to hear a Peep ;)

I posted this under an older thread earlier in the week. I am not much of an artist but I had some fun with some left over piece that were not useable. I plan to make it portable to change its location easily 010DFA2E-1042-4CCC-883D-0894FC6D1F99_1_105_c-resized.jpeg EDC882E1-55DC-4A03-8F92-16BC1AFC655C_1_105_c-resized.jpeg

Just a thought to ponder on that cool yard art. Get two or three cheap strings of solar powered LED lights, and put them inside of the cab so that at night time, the cab will light up, there is a lot of possibility there!
    Thanks from Dennis.
