Is the seal the right way, think its suppose to face up and wondering about the wrinkles on the curve its on the gl*** atm. will those go away after the gl*** is installed in the car? Any tips would be appreciated
I had a hell of a problem getting my gl*** in my '49 Ford coupe.. but I don't think I had that problem with it wrinkling... Is there going to be a stainless steel trim strip on top of the gasket material? If this would be any help here is my saga about putting the front and rear windows in. By the way my rear window gasket was too long and would not fit no matter what so I cut three quarters of an inch out of the center of the bottom we glued it together and it went in just fine.. https://49fordcoupe.smugmug.com/DAMN-Windshield-gasketSS-trim/
Taking a second look at your picture are you sure you don't have it on backwards? It seems as I recall the longer lip is against the body.. see how the gasket fits with the body lips without the gl*** and be sure it's not upside down
Backwards or inside out would be my guess, too. Need a picture that shows the whole ***embly to be sure.
