Never seen this, replace that rusty after market air cleaner lid with an old school hubcap 340748438_1257511021546101_4728250681275934645_n.jpg

I did that on my 64 Pontiac years ago with an old flipper cap. Something different and fun.

Wanted to cover the shiney carburetor, choke, fuel inlet, etc. so I made a enclosed unit with screen air inlet. Air Cleaner.JPG

I'll disagree with that one. Dented up and doesn't fit the element, retainer ring in place. On a stock engine. ''Rat rod starter kit''. Possibly find a hub cap/element that fit each other. The original would look better, or a tasteful vintage aftermarket unit. Just my opinion.

There's just no way I'd ever use a beat up ugly old hubcap, and ever open my hood! It may be different, but different isn't always good.
