The frame came Butch's Rod Shop out around Dayton Ohio. Or at least that was grease penciled on the frame when I bought it. It is supposedly set up for a small block ford and auto trans. I'll try and get some better pics this weekend.

    Thank you...I'm excited.
    Yep...302 with an auto trans.

  3. I've rebuilt a 351W with Edelbrock 1.90 intake heads, a Performer manifold and a 600 cfm 4160 Holley. I am in the middle of rebuilding an AOD with all the upgraded parts, so it should be strong enough to last. That 302 should work just fine for you. The older I get, the less I want to use the left foot.

  4. At this point I would be taking measurements of where the center of that crossmember is sitting. If I had to estimate from the pics it looks 4" from the ground maybe, and that clearance will decrease much more with the engine, trans, body, a full tank of fuel, all of the fluids and finally you sitting behind the wheel. Then figure in suspension compression while driving. It will be much easier to address now then with everything installed and bolted down. Only a bit of cutting and welding and paint touch up versus a headache of a bent frame if it catches on something in the road that is immovable...

Ok...I got some pics yesterday. Looks like 7 3/8" from the ground.
Again...nothing is adjusted or tight. The rear is as low as it can go right now...just together for moving.
I cleaned out the garage a bit too. Nice sunny day. IMG_9133.jpeg IMG_9134.jpeg IMG_9135.jpeg IMG_9136.jpeg

If you ran fenders, the front running board brackets hang 6” below the frame just for reference. Without the running boards everything below the frame tends to look lower than it really is.
