Hot Rods Anybody recognize these heaters?

    DAVID HOLMES

    They go under the front seat, and apparently blow forward and backward; the hoses would connect from under the front floor. Anybody know what they would've come in originally? IMG_0005.JPG UH-30-49R.JPG

    My dad's 41 chevy sedan had an under seat heater just like that, it worked great.

    Had a '48 Chevy Fleetmaster with one. Probably came in most of the GM brands of the era.

    Pontiacs had them too. I'm guessing but I suspect more or less the same heater was used across GM brands of the era.

    Yes, my '55 Pontiac had one that was similar.

    The 55 Buick Special 4 door hardtop I had in 1966/67 had one. A couple of gals my buddy and I ran around with always wanted to take the Buick rather than his Ford because it didn't matter if you were in the front seat or the back you were still plenty warm in the middle of the winter and you were more often than not cold for a while in that Ford if you were in the back seat. I was sure glad that I never had to work on that thing though.
