And one of those is one that I have been wanting for a long time but will get bid out of my range all too quick. It's even the originial color that was my favorite for those. I'm not liking it that they aren't upfront about removal deadlines though. That may be a deal breaker for some guys.
I’m not gonna look at the link. The other thread mentioned Sacramento area, easy driving distance for me. So I’m not even gonna click on the link…well probably will, but I don’t want to!
I'm going to send you $20K. You go to the auction and if you see anything you think I might like, you buy it for me and ship it to my house. Anything you have left over, buy yourself something nice, okay?
Wow......ton of stuff there. Definitely a few flathead engines. I wonder what the back story is on all of it.
need to read through link to try to understand how this online bidding only auction is being handled. they offer dates/times for appointments to view items. many regular estate sales that I see ads for offer similar special viewing restrictions with only online bidding.
At 12:54 Pacific time the day before it ends I am not seeing any bidding wars. Except the big lots of core engine blocks. Their deal killer for many may be their vague pickup schedule that the way I read it you have no idea of when you can pick up the item (s) or how long you have. From their page. Removal of Purchased Items. Purchased Items can only be removed from the Real Property within the removal time as announced at the sale and as indicated on the Invoice (the “Removal Deadline”). No Purchased Items can be removed, segregated, or dismantled by Buyer before the conclusion of the auction. Prior to removal of any Purchased Items, the entire Invoice for all Purchased Items must be paid in full in order to gain access to the Real Property and Buyer and/or Buyer’s Rigger must submit a fully completed & executed RRIA along with the approved COI to a RABIN representative for approval. Once approved, Buyer must present the RABIN representative with an original Invoice marked “PAID.” The big auction in Sidney Nebraska a few months ago gave guys a year to pick up their purchases and you only had to take what you wanted off most of the vehicles and tell them to scrap the rest as the family business is scrap metal. That let guys a thousand miles away bid and plan a road trip. It sounds like this auction company is going to give a short timeframe to remove what you buy.
If the rent isn’t paid, the landlord owns it all. The people storing their stuff will need to sue the renter that they knew.
Been watching the bidding on the bare French blocks. Don't know where they ended but I think there was some opportunity to make some money? I'd have had to drag my trailer to CA to pick them up. Oh Well!
Wish I knew what some of the cars sold for. Was interested in the Caballero but got busy and missed the end of the auction.
I would also love to know how much some of this stuff ended up going for, if anyone knows for sure, or if anyone here bought anything.
I bought the Cabellaro. Still no invoice so I have no idea when I can get the stuff I won out of there. I am local. But it looks like its going to take some work to get stuff out of there. I would hate to show up and hope to pick up stuff on a back wall and everything in the place has to be moved to get to it.
That was the one vehicle out of the whole batch that spun my wheels. A lot of interesting ones but I have wanted one for a long time and that one was even the right original color.
Well, were there any winners? Looks like lots of dreams could have been fulfilled. Anyone willing to share lot numbers and final price?
