Hot Rods chrome reversed rims center cap ideas needed .......

I like them with either just a chrome dust cap or possibly a bullet style push through cap from the rear. To me, the chrome OE or reverse wheel looks best with the definition around the lug nuts. If I wanted a hub cap, I would run a cheaper painted wheel...but that's just me. These are both without any center cap on my kids pu and my car. They are both OE style and not reversed, but seem relevant here.

 

Oh, and these were on my AD pickup with push through bullet center caps and bullet style lug nuts. Lots of bling...

Growing up in the 50's and early 60's, chrome reverse were just that--no center caps or other stuff in the center. You found chrome dust caps for the hubs, painted the hubs silver, and if you were big bucks, had the nuts plated. If not, the silver paint worked again. These were a really big deal back then.

 

baby moons or spider caps is cool. Or of you want to live on the edge, chrome lug nutz and paint the center part body color.

 

I have a beautiful set of 10 1/8 baby moons for these reversed back wheels on my rpu

 

I'm surprised no one mentioned Blunt Nosed Spiders.

After many months of original sighting on a coastal road, my wife and I happen to be in a friend’s neighborhood one day. What do our, (actually, again, I am driving and my wife spots “an old car on the left…”) eyes see parked by the side of the road ahead? A super clean 1957 Ford Ranchero in a nice two tone white/red body combination.

It sure seems like the same one we saw at least a year if not two years ago, near the coastal highway drive towards the harbor. Back then, during the original sighting, I saw it coming our way as it stood out a**** the grey, white, black cars and trucks most commonly seen on the road today.
