Well, I am off and running, got a frame under it. The front will come down about 3 inches with a big block in it. I think it will sit about right. Notice the poser front wheels. Like I said, they make good rollers.
That's cool. It's always great to see a car that looks like it's going a hundred miles an hour while standing still.
Badass man. Nothing like a straight axle. Looks like it's ready to brawl what's going under the hood??

Most of what us Older Guys are seeing out there today is the Younge Bloods going, let me show you My Version of how you guys used to do it. Then they build anything they can with stuff they can gather up. My take on that is (1) they don't do their homework. (2) they can't find the right stuff. (3) when they do the price is past their Wallet range. I'll give them this, they want to have fun like we did back when it only took a few phone calls. We didn't have to salvage scrap iron to get started. I agree with Lloyd's paint and glass, Nothing like a straight axle. Looks like it's ready to brawl. At 76 years Young I'm right in the middle of building again. Because only parts of it is Old and it's for the street, when the few friends see it and ask why and what for I answer because it's what I feel like. I've been calling it a Street Brawler. I know that isn't a real term, "yet". Those the know me have said, "seems fitting". Good enough. Ya, I think it will be H.A.M.B. friendly.
Its getting a 6/71 blown 454, with a super t10 four speed. Out back it has a 9 inch posi with 3.55 gears. Should be fun to drive.
Well. I have a set of those on the coupe because I can't afford a set of real mag spindle mounts. Anybody want to donate some?
Yep! I like them, they put in work just fine. I was torched on here years ago when I put them on and posted pictures, don't care, no sweat off my ass.
Hay mad mikey, I'll post mine up and maybe take a little heat off ya. Two Mikey's can't be wrong specially when we just don't give a Fuck!
Jim..... Only!, An I say Only!! You.. can get away with "rollers" .. Outstanding Sir! Beautiful build as Always!$ Ok.... Other's choose for final destination... I get it... But..
I got my wheels in a trade deal. I am seriously thinking of having a friend powdercoat them to look like mag, and running them on something, but for now they are perfect rollers for setting up the style of car I like.
Pist n broke, that is a badass car, and those wheels look great on it. I have a friend with a pair of original mag spokes, and he welded, drilled and altered his back in the day, so he could run a set of airhart disc brakes on them. Now people at car shows make comments about them not being real. I guess, you cant make everyone happy all of the time.
I like those wheels on open wheel hot rods, especialy drag inspired vars. Full fender or gassers, not so much.
I don't see anything that you stated that would have disqualified your car. There wasn't any rule pertaining to how high your blower could be above your hood. My engine is going to sit fairly high in my Austin because my car is going to be street/strip and I want to be able to hook up on street tires.
I may get flamed for what I’m about to say but here goes. Jim those tires and wheels on your car now are about perfect! I like the look! As far as I know Nobody is making a spindle mount 10 or 12 spoke aluminum wheel. They are the next best thing!
It may even be Scandinavian. It runs at Santa Pod in UK if I remember. There are some great vids from Santa Pod. Anglia gasser ground zero- hard chargers they are too.
