1933 1934 Plymouth.



50 Mi west from there.
1936 Ford


Then 50 miles north.
Some orphan.
Not sure who it are.

Awesome!! You can make 2 fenders out of 1 ring. Great scores! The mopar ring and cover is worth a chunk! 36 fords usually run about 100 in my neck of the woods

 

Home safe.

As you can see, the other two covers are split differently and don't have a ring around the perimeter like the Ford, so they can't as easily be made into fenders. But I have other ideas for them.

I've decided I might not use the original Dodge fenders. At least not the front ones. At least not in stock configuration. They push too much wind and I don't wanna fly away.

And I've always liked bobbed rear fenders with cycle type fenders on the front.

Not 100% sure what I'll end up doing, but I'll figure it out. Got these just to cover my ass. I mean my tires.

I thought about that. But I think it might make it look kinda like a 4WD ready for the bush. And besides, the rear mounted spares were always positioned more upright, even more upright than I'm showing.
And I might do that.

I know, first thought is that it won't look good sticking up above the low turtle deck.
But we'll give it a chance.
I think I might like it.
Old style radical.
Some might say "gook-wagon".
Some might say other things.

 

Itll look good, will likely sit lower than how you have it mocked so the turtle lid still functions?

Yeah, it's hard to know what will look and work best at this stage. Once you get to the point of having the body and turtle deck placed on the frame to mock things up it will sort itself out. The way you want it will be staring you right in the face.......

As I've been thinking about all this, a 3/4 rear view of a '35/'36 Ford with a spare tire cover kept coming to mind.
Now I realize it was yours.

I need to find a nice late 20s early 30s DB hubcap that'll fit the 6" hole in this cover.
And four more hubcaps to fit whatever wheels I decide to use.
And some 16" Mopar wheels.
