I could take the title for most delayed gratification.
One of these days I'll explain.

The hardest part of any task is simply getting started.

Twenty plus years ago, while working on my friend Larry's Mercury, I was telling him my attitude about things, I said, "If I don't get it done today, then I'll do it tomorrow. But if I die tonight, then it doesn't matter." His response was, "But you're working on my car!"
We did finish his car and I'm still around, but that's still how I feel. Sorry to say, Larry passed 2 years ago. I miss him.

Procrastination may not be good for the soul, but my muscles and joints like it a whole lot.

  10. My first merit badge was procrastinator, level 1.

It now has a golden wreath and bars for 40 Ford, 32 Ford, 40 Pickup, log home maintenance, tree
trimming, log cabin building, clutter cleanup and shop paneling
Just thinking about it makes my body ache so I think I will go sit in the shop and get on the HAMB and enjoy a beverage

When I retired, everyone said I’d be crazy looking for something to do to pass the days. BS! I’ve been busier than a cat trying to cover up crap on a frozen pond, just not doing what I want to all the time. My stuff has gotten put off more than once so I could do something else first. Other than a new belt, I’ve managed to get my car ready to go to Tupelo the first weekend of next month. New belt should be here tomorrow, so 5 minutes and it’ll be ready to go unless I spot something else that needs fixing!

Yeah, I can put my arm up here in a circle of friends. I'm a procrastinator with OCD, things take forever and have to be perfect.
I'm a list guy, I have lists for everything! But I do get a kick out of crossing items off the list.;)

If there was a pill to cure procrastination, I would probably take it tomorrow.

I'd agree with you on that, but that would require doing something. I'll get back to you tomorrow
