I was just wondering how much an original 18" 1950 Ford Crestliner steering wheel is worth. I found one that needs several cracks in the wheel repaired, but no chucks missing. The horn ring is broke, but the steering wheel is complete. I know these are rare and hard to find. I know the horn ring and horn ****on are available through Lime works. The original steering wheel was offered as an aftermarket through Ford for $9.95 back in the day. I've seen an original ad! Go figure!

I’m not sure about now but my dad has a couple of them in the garage with several complete horn rings. The one on my ‘50 convertible was a NOS wheel that my dad picked up in the 90’s for around $500. The horn ring was from Brazil ($300) and I picked up the NOS center at a swap meet in Indy for a cool $100. This was way before they reproduced any of the parts and even then he got a really good deal on them.

I know from experience that finding the horn rings complete are very difficult but they can be repaired using the rings from the ‘51 regular horn rings. I just cut and weld them on with a TIG.

I bought one from a fellow hamber about 8 years ago that needed a lot of work. Repaired and painted it. I found an original, unbroken horn ring and had it re-chromed and bought a repop horn ****on. I still don't have it on my car yet. I was thinking of buying another one and repairing it and buy a Limeworks horn ring and ****on to sale later. I have about $1050.00 into mine not counting my time. I think they or worth a lot more than that, if you can find one.
