You’ve got the stuff, If you vend it will be a more successful meet and make for a more likely chance for next year happening.
I remember going to a swap there around forty years ago. Don't remember the details, but I do remember it was in a large parking lot. I used to have a place in Alger, a few miles north of town. One day driving out of town and headed home, my buddy and I had to pee. So we stop next to an old dilapidated barn and commence to doing one of the ten things we do best. Out of no where appears some old guy pointing a pistol at us. He tells us to come with him, he's calling the police. I see the cylinder in his pistol is empty, so I tell him, ain't gunna happen, get in my hot rod '65 Chevy pickup and leave the guy standing there in a cloud of tire smoke...true stories Good old Mount Vernon
I think this is the same day as Portland Transmission? @Marty Strode can you confirm the date of the transimsision show? Would be nice to take in both.
Well, the weather held, and it wasn't a factor. The amount of vendors was small, but that was to be expected, since the swapmeet is getting back on its feet after the element of Covid. Still I am glad I went, ran into HAMB friends @Hitchhiker and @ClarkH , Matts friend Doug, scored a vintage set of GROTE Auxiliary lights with really unique ribbed blue lenses, that were designed for Police cars from the 40's. The nice thing about the Mt. Vernon swapmeet is, that it's small and doesn't take long to walk around and see what's there, I was back home by 1:00PM. I am looking forward to the Monroe swapmeet on the 20th. See you all there!
