Hello, By the time the 1957 factory Fords came out with the "extra" power of 312 hp and that factory centrifugal supercharger, they were formidable in the stock class competition. Even against the factory fuel injected 57 Chevy sedans. Then some of the 57 Chevy sedans moved to another classification as each year brought on new power for the latest cars from the factories. In our A/Stock Car Class, there was this Black 57 Ford that gave us fits every time we lined up against each other in the practice runs or elimination races.
