Yes there is some junk for sale like any other swap. I have been going for almost 40 years. I still get pumped up by what I might find. I'm amazed at the things I find each year. I have pulled some crazy rare parts out of that place and still do. It's the thrill of the hunt.
"Pay $10 to park in someone's yard. Pay $10 for entry." According to my flier the parking is free but they charge $15 per person for admission on Fri. and Sat., only $10 on Sun. but I am not impress with the demo derby that day at noon. Yes lots of other things there but where else are you going to see a chromed out snowblower?
It was a fun day at the Jefferson Swap meet. I did not anticipate the sun to be as intense as it was, so I have a pretty good sun burn. Not bad for April in Wisconsin. I did not take too many pictures, but here's what I took....
Thanks for the coverage! Looks like there was a good turnout. I see that the infamous Bumper Boyz are still in business.
Cool, that's my 49 Merc pickup, I've never gotten any of my junk in a pic. Sold it yesterday, good to see it one last time.
All in all it was a great weekend. I got to visit with quite a few HAMB'ers. Saw several more. Ate a couple of Big Bars, made money, what else can you ask for?
As usual I had a great time with my buddy's, sold about 1,500 worth of stuff yesterday and spent about 400 today, and still have the 500 I took to spend, WIN! WIN! lol Larry
My son and I had a great day Friday. Got to visit with a few guys, saw a few more that were deep in conversation with others and didn't want to interrupt, but then didn't see them again. I bought a Big bar, and food. Came home with most of the money I went with. I think my son bought a pair of sunglasses, and food. He was looking for some wheels but didn't find THE wheels he had in mind. We both had short lists and didn't see what we were looking for (probably missed it), but I think the day was mostly just to take in the Jefferson experience in the sun, on a nice day! Pretty rare occurrence!
It was a good event for me. I sold alot saw alot of friends. Had some laughs and a few beers. Topped it off with some fried chicken from the local piggies wiggle and a big bar. I left Saturday at noon.
I walked the whole thing towing my little red wagon on Friday . ( need to make it electric ) Bought a Lokar throttle pedal and and cable and a set of used SBC roller lifters and some wheel spacers and a new 1/2 Milwaukee impact from the tool dealer . Kind of a bust for me this year . Was tempted on a few bigger ticket items but decided to save my money for other stuff . More and more just plain junk there every year . Very little street rod stuff there this year. Was a damn nice day . A bit sunburnt
I talked to the owner of the Nova and looked inside he truck you pictured. That nova was a bit scary . Was hoping to find a decent 27 T radiator shell that was decent.
One of my Art Deco purchases….. Is going on my office desk. Not sure what it came out of but had to have it. Chrysler or Ford maybe or I don’t know ??? Care to guess what it came out of ?
