I have a customer He is bringing me a 1938 Ford 2 door Coupe Deluxe. He wants me to cut and weld the Stainless trim for the doors and 1 Quarter panel. Is the trim from a regular 2 door different? Was told doors are different, any info would be appreciated.

The coupe door is the same as the the front doors of a 4-door sedan. 2 door sedan is bigger.

Thanks Six Ball for the Info! Just found a complete set of Stainless that needs Straightening and Polishing just in case.

Show us some pictures of what you do. My first car was registered as '38 Coupe but it was identical to my brother's '39 Standard. The guy I sold it too in the late '60s is still a close friend. I had a '38 four door back then too. I love those years.

Be careful when you use the word 'identical' around early Fords! Basically similar would be better. They couldn't even keep the cars identical thoughout a model run, let alone when one year's Deluxe became the next year's Standard.
