    Hi eveyone.

I need to have a new front spring made for the coupe Im building. Im using a dropped 33 ford car axle and would like the front end as lowered as possible. I will ask for reversed eeyesof course and maybe main leaf removed.

But besides that, what are the basic specs to provide for having such a spring built ? Im asking this because I dont int have a sample spring to provide them with.

    Thanks for any help
    Dee

Bear in mind that you must have enough arch in the spring that the axle doesn't contact the spring clamp or bolts during normal operation. When I bought my "33 I found it had only 3/4" clearance at rest, which is way too little.

Formula is spring perch center to center distance minus 5 inches will give you the correct length for the spring. Posie offers standard arch with reversed eyes, low spring with reversed eyes and super low with reversed eyes. Take a look at Posies website and catalogue for some good information about springs. Most of the 33/34 ch***is I built for my customers used the low with reversed eyes.

I'm not suggesting he buy from Posie, There's some helpful information in their catalogue which is available on line.

Any spring from model A up to 34 will work.
